Interlined curtains and blinds – keeping out the winter chill
The temperature certainly seems to have dropped in the last couple of weeks, but this doesn’t mean that you need to spend the next few months sitting in draughty rooms. Simple steps such as changing your curtains and blinds can dramatically reduce the draughts in your rooms, leaving you warmer and reducing your energy bills. By choosing made to measure curtains and blinds you have various options for improving thermal insulation. You could have your window dressings lined with thermal lining which although it is only marginally thicker than cotton lining has significant heat saving qualities. Or for maximum thermal insulation you could opt for interlining blinds and curtains as well as thermal lining. Interlining is a fleece-like fabric which goes between the curtain or blind and the lining fabric. Here is the difference new curtains made to one of my customers:
"The curtains are fantastic with the cold weather the hall has warmed up by about 4 degrees!"
I stock a range of thermal lining and interlining. For more information please do give me a call or drop me an email.
