Curtains from Stround, tailoring training in Africa
10% of all Curtains Made for You’s profits go to supporting a project in Zimbabwe to train orphaned girls in practical skills such as tailoring, run by UK based charity Hope HIV. The centre where the girls are trained has been overrun with tailoring orders, including wedding gowns. This has provided a brilliant opportunity for the girls to receive paid work and support their families. It has helped girls like Alice who at 17 is an orphan with three siblings. She enrolled on the training course in July 2013 and in that time has learn a lot, not only about tailoring but also life skills. “I am very proud of myself because now I have something that I know in life. I wish to get to be employed so that I can take care of my family”. Thank you for your custom which makes our support of this life changing project possible
