  • How To Hang Made To Measure Roman Blinds

Instructions for Hanging

Screw the ‘screw eyes’ into the under side of the wooden baton as marked on the paper guide. The cords will pass through these eyes and so they need to be at 45 degrees to the window (FIG 1).

FIG 1

Remove the backing from the adhesive Velcro and attach to the front of the baton, where the blind is extra wide there will be 2 lengths and they should be attached one beneath the other as closely as possible. For extra strength you may like to nail in a few tacks or use a staple gun if you have one.

Remove the pins holding the cord so that the blind is at full length. With the right side of the blind facing you thread the cords through the eyes. If a right hand pull, start with the far left hand cord first and thread through all the eyes. Continue in this manner until you have all the cords through the far right eye. A knot can be loosely tied here and the cords plaited to form one cord, add a cord pull and then tie around the cleat (FIG 2).

FIG 2

If a left hand pull, start with the far right hand cord first and thread through all the eyes. Continue until you have all the cords through the far left eye. A knot can be loosely tied here and the cords plaited to form one cord, add a cord pull and then tie around the cleat.
